How to Set Up a Snare Drum Stand
A drummer and his drums, for some people, are considered the heart and soul of a band. Of course there are other musicians in a band but the drums are known for keeping the beat. The worst part, or perhaps the most annoying part, of the drums and being a drummer is the fact that there are many pieces of equipment that you need to assemble, such as a snare drum stand.

1
Set up the tri-pod that is the base of the snare drum. Make sure that it is level and doesn't wobble. If you can't keep it from wobbling, prop a folded piece of paper or a coin under the offending leg.

2
Attach the arm part of the stand which angles the snare drum. The arm looks just like an upside down tripod. Make sure this is also as tight as you can get it. You will produce a crisper sound with a tighter snare stand and drum.

3
Angle the arm part of the snare stand according to your liking and also according to the type of sound you want to produce. You can adjust this pretty easily as needed to angle the snare drum for ease of playing.

4
Place the snare drum onto the arm of the stand and you are ready to play it. Sit down on your seat at the set and adjust your snare within the rest of the drum set so it is easily within reach.
