A drummer and his drums are, to some, considered the heart and soul of a band. Of course there are other musicians in a band but the drums are known for keeping the beat. The worst part, or perhaps most annoying part, of the drums and being a drummer is the fact that there are many pieces of equipment that you need to assemble, including the high hat cymbal.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Find the clutch part of the high hat stand. This is an important part of the stand because this piece keeps the high hat separated to make the sound that is produced when the 2 parts of the cymbal crash together.
Step2
Attach the bottom cymbal to the pull rod. On top of the pull rod there should be a black circular foam piece that cushions the bottom high hat. Make sure that the bottom cymbal is tightly attached to the pull rod.
Step3
Place the felts on top of the bottom cymbal, giving room between the bottom and top cymbal.
Step4
Connect the nuts, washers and clutch, in that order, to the top cymbal. Make sure the clutch is as tight as you can possibly get it. If the clutch is to loose, the high hat will not create the desired sound.
Step5
Pump the pedal to make sure the hi hat stand is working properly.
