After you learn the half-suicide trick with your diabolo, you are ready to learn many more suicide tricks. While you might think you should learn the full suicide next, consider learning the double half-suicide. As with all suicide tricks, you let go of the stick rather than manipulate the diabolo. In the double half-suicide, you wrap the string around the stick twice before letting go of the stick.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Just as you did for the half-suicide, begin with a rolling start. Juggle the diabolo at high speed. You may want to whip the diabolo to get it spinning as fast as possible.

  2. Step 2

Place the stick in your dominant hand against the string a few inches below your weak hand.

  3. Step 3

Whip the diabolo outside of your dominant hand so that it arches around the stick and lands on the string between the two sticks. So far, you have completed the same steps as those for the half-suicide.

  4. Step 4

Whip the diabolo outside of your dominant hand and catch it on the string between the two sticks again. You now have a double wrap.

  5. Step 5

Point the end of the stick in your weak hand at the diabolo's axle. Release the stick in your weak hand to begin the suicide. Let the stick and string unwrap from around the diabolo twice. You may need to rotate your dominant wrist a little to give the stick enough momentum to get around the diabolo.

  6. Step 6

Spot the stick as it completes its second rotation. Reach across your body and catch the stick with your empty hand. Return to normal position. You have completed the double half-suicide.
