Things You'll Need:
- Anti-frizz serum or spray
- Safflower or olive oil
- Ceramic blow-dryer
-
Step 1
Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner when washing your hair. Avoid daily shampooing. Skipping a day between shampoos allows your hair to rest and keeps the frizzies at bay.
-
Step 2
Towel-dry your hair and apply an anti-frizz serum to the ends of the hair. Work this up the length of the hair, but avoid weighing down the roots. Avoid large amounts of serum. A little goes a long way.
-
Step 3
Allow your hair to air-dry. Blow-dry only with a ceramic blow-dryer and a diffuser. A ceramic-based blow dryer uses negative ions, which help control frizz.
-
Step 4
Maintain regular hair cuts. Blunt-cut styles work best with frizzy hair. Razor cuts add more frizz since the hair ends tend to split with this cut.
-
Step 5
Deep-condition frizzy hair once a week using an oil treatment. Place a tablespoon of safflower or olive oil in your palms, apply it to the ends of your hair and work your way up. Cover your hair with a plastic cap or a towel and let it sit for an hour. Shampoo the oil out and condition hair with your regular conditioner.
-
Step 6
Avoid overhandling frizzy hair. Brush gently or finger-comb when dry.
