Playing the game of bowl with dice is simple yet entertaining. Large or small groups of people can play the game anywhere. Some people agree that dice bowling remains one of their favorite pastimes because of the ease of playing the game with any level of player, even beginners who have never played before.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two dice
  • Hard, clean surface
  • Paper and pencil for keeping score
  1. Step 1

Position yourself and the other players near a hard surface, like a table, with two dice.

  2. Step 2

Keep score the same as standard bowling, playing 10 frames or rounds. That means every player who plays in this game completes 10 rounds with each player, rolling the dice three times for every round.

  3. Step 3

Roll the dice the first time and see what number you get. Decide if you want to leave one of the dice or take both and roll them a second time. Rolling a 5 on one die and a 5 on the other die as the first roll means you rolled a strike. You finished your first round in a very good position, and you earn 10 points.

  4. Step 4

If you roll a 5 and a 4, take the die with 4 and roll it again in hopes of turning another 5 for a spare. If so, you earn 10 points.

  5. Step 5

Try not to roll a 6 on either die because that means the ball went into the gutter. The three dots on both sides of the die symbolize gutters.

  6. Step 6

Throw again if you get nothing worthwhile on the first and second attempt. You might still get a spare. Whatever you get after the third try, add it up for the total points of that round.

  7. Step 7

Complete 10 rounds of play with all players. Whoever holds the highest score after all 10 rounds wins that game, just like bowling.
