If you're in the mood for cheesecake but crave a lighter and more airy dessert instead, cheesecake flan might satisfy your taste buds perfectly. It's a simple dessert that's also elegant and is perfect after a heavy dinner. Make this luscious dessert at home by first learning how to properly add vanilla to eggs for cheesecake flan to give it the best flavor.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start with egg yolks in a bowl large enough that you can easily add other ingredients. Have enough room to include the 4 egg whites later to mix in with the 7 egg yolks, plus the other ingredients.

  2. Step 2

Mix the 7 egg yolks. Add the vanilla next after you've gently combined the egg yolks. Measure 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla to pour into the mixture. Stir well.

  3. Step 3

Open a can of evaporated or condensed milk and use as your next ingredient. Note that some flan recipes call for cream or even yogurt, but the milk product and the eggs really make up the primary base for flan.
