At a party, the kids crowd around the person shaping balloons into unusual forms. Especially for little girls, the person creating balloon hats with a heart on top can make them feel like princesses waiting for their own Prince Charmings to come sweep them away.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Long balloons
  • Heart-shaped balloons
  1. Step 1

Inflate a long balloon, leaving a couple of inches uninflated at the end.

  2. Step 2

Wind the balloon around the child's head to size the hat, making the knot end come around to the middle of the forehead, and twist a small bubble a couple of inches long in the knot end.

  3. Step 3

Twist the bubble around the balloon at the forehead to make the hat's base, a circle around the head. Take the leftover long end and loop it over the top of the head to the back.

  4. Step 4

Make another small bubble and twist it around the balloon at the back of the head.

  5. Step 5

Twist the balloon segment that loops over the top of the head, twisting it in the middle.

  6. Step 6

Wrap a heart-shaped balloon to the twist in the loop. Make a bow to support the heart on the hat, if you wish.

  7. Step 7

Inflate another long balloon, then tie it into a circle as the start of the bow. Twist the circle into a figure 8, then twist it around the heart on the hat and arrange the bow to make the heart stand up straight.
