How to Google Someone
If you've ever wanted to find out more about your hot date, dig up some dirt on your unreasonable boss or have simply been bored at work, then Googling is for you. Most likely, at least one person has already Googled you, so jump on the information bandwagon and see what's out there. You never know what you might find.
Instructions
-
-
1
Connect to the Internet, and go to Google (see Resources below).
-
2
In the Google search box, enter the name of the person you want to Google and either hit "Enter" on your keyboard or click the "Google Search" button on the screen.
-
-
3
Sift through the entries that come up to find your specific person. The more common his or her name, the more results you could get.
-
4
If you have trouble finding information on the people you are Googling, try varying their names. Add or take away middle names and search for maiden names instead of married names. Adding a person's job title or hometown and state can also increase your results.
-
5
Put quotation marks around any or all of your search words guarantees that all of those words come up in the search results.
-
6
Use Google's "Advanced Search" feature for extra hard-to-find information. The link to this option is just to the right of the search bar on the main Google page.
-
7
Keep in mind that if a person has never had his or her name in print or been active online, the chances of finding him or her in a Google search greatly lessens.

It's probably worth noting that you can exclude certain information by typing a minus sign (-) before the word(s) you DON'T want to include in your search results. For example, if the person you're searching for shares the same name as a famous soccer player you might want to exclude the word soccer to limit your search results. -
