Step 1
Create a romantic, relaxing environment for the facial while your significant other is out of the house. Dim lights, sprinkle flower petals and light candles. You may want to put on soft ambient music. Make sure that if you set up on a bed or couch, you line it with soft towels so she won't worry about anything getting on her sheets or upholstery. You want her to just relax and enjoy her facial and not worry about anything, so think ahead.
-
Step 2
Wash your hands and have a terrycloth headband ready to keep any facial products out of her hair. Make sure her skin is damp before applying any products.
-
Step 3
Cleanse her skin, but stay away from that bar of soap. Use a gentle facial cleanser to remove dirt and oil. If she is wearing eye makeup, you may also need an eye makeup remover. Rub the cleanser in with your finger tips, from her neck to temple, with soft, circular motions. Wipe away the cleanser with a warm, soft, damp cloth.
-
Step 4
Exfoliate her skin with a gentle exfoliant. Apply using the same method you did with the cleanser. Then, gently wipe or rinse away with warm water.
-
Step 5
Place a hot washcloth over her eyes and let it sit for a few minutes. This relaxes and rejuvenates, pulling away any tension.
-
Step 6
Apply a cooling face mask, keeping it away from her eyes. Follow the mask's instructions. Most facial masks recommend that you remove them after 5 to 10 minutes. For an added spa touch, place cucumber slices over her eyes while she wears the face mask. Cucumber feels cooling to the eyes and reduces puffiness.
-
Step 7
Moisturize her skin. Make sure you use a gentle product without harsh scents or chemicals. This is your time to shine. Massage her face as you apply the moisturizer, using upward and outward strokes from the base of her neck up. Gently tap around the eyes with the pads of your fingers.
-
Step 8
Let her relax. After that treatment, she may even fall asleep. Let her enjoy the full experience as long as she wants to lie there.
