How to Knit Left \-Handed
Knitting left handed may be difficult to learn, since many intructions are written for right-handed knitters. However, you can learn the skill and then create beautiful crafts for your right-handed friends.

Cast on your stitches. Tie a slip knot and slip it onto the needle in your right hand. Then tie a series of half hitch knots and slip them, one at a time, onto the needle.

Knit. Keep the needle holding the cast-on stitches in your right hand with the empty needle and yarn in your left hand. Insert the left needle through the first stitch on the needle, from the front to the back. Wrap the yarn counterclockwise around the left needle and pull it through the stitch, removing the stitch from the right needle and moving it to the left. Continue with the next stitch and to the end of the row.

Purl. Move the needle holding the stitches back to your right hand. Insert the left needle through the first stitch, moving from the back to the front. Wrap the yarn clockwise around the left needle and pull it through the stitch, removing the stitch from the right needle and moving it to the left. Continue to the end of the row.

Bind off. When you have completed several practice rows of both knitting and purling, end your swatch. Knit two stitches, following the instructions in Step 2. Then slip the needle in your right hand under the first stitch and pull it up, over and off the needle. Continue to the end of the row. When you have only one stitch left, cut your yarn to 6 inches and pull it through the last stitch to make a knot. Weave the end of the yarn through several stitches to hold it tightly.

Repeat. Once you have practiced these basic knitting stitches, you can create hats, scarves, sweaters and even blankets.
