How to Kill the Split Lizard in Silent Hill

Silent Hill is a sci-fi horror video game made for the PlayStation game system. Silent Hill has been the inspiration for many sequels and spin-offs. The first boss players face in Silent Hill is the split lizard or large mouth. Players are introduced to the split lizard in a fairy tale in the first section of the game.

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

• Pistol
• Ammunition
• 4 health drinks
• 2 first aid kits

1. Prepare everything you need to fight the split lizard before entering the Silent Hill boiler room.
2. Watch the short scene about the burnt man. Equip the pistol.
3. Jump from side to side to avoid the lizard's bites. Running in a zigzag fashion also work to avoid being bitten.
4. Shoot the lizard and aim for its head. This wears him down. Refill your health if the lizard bits you and then continue shooting at it.
5. Get the shotgun and equip it as fast as possible. Hold down the "R1" button to aim the shotgun at the lizards mouth.
6. Watch the lizard's mouth. When its mouth opens up wide, shoot as many times as possible into its mouth. Back up when the lizard starts to open his mouth because he is about to bite you. Be quick on the trigger or Silent Hill gets the better of you.

Tips & Warnings

• The lizard may close his mouth. If he does, shoot him in the head and wait for his mouth to open again.
