Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Mix 1/4 cup of white vinegar with a quart of warm water in a large bucket. Transfer a small amount of the vinegar solution to a clean, handheld spray bottle. You also can keep the solution in the bucket and wipe it on the windows with a cloth or sponge.

  2. Step 2

Spray or wipe windows liberally with the vinegar solution.

  3. Step 3

Wipe the windows dry with a piece of newspaper. The newspaper leaves windows sparking clean with no lint or streaks left behind.

  4. Step 4

Continue on all the windows throughout your home and save any leftover vinegar solution for next time. This simple mixture is also great for cleaning kitchen countertops, stainless steel sinks, fixtures and tiled or sealed hardwood floors.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you notice hard water stains on your windows, apply straight vinegar to the area. When you've cleaned the stains, go over the window again with the mixed solution and wipe dry with newspaper.
