Step 1
Start with a roundoff back handspring. Punch off the floor after your back handspring to gain height and momentum.
-
Step 2
Extend your arms straight up, keeping your elbows straight. Keep your eyes focused straight in front of you.
-
Step 3
Begin a straight-legged backflip (layout position) by bringing your toes up. Start twisting. Sweep your right arm diagonally across the front of your body to your left hip. Rotate 180 degrees in this position. Once you've rotated halfway around, bring your arm back up above your head to complete the other 180 degrees.
-
Step 4
Complete the full turn with your left arm extended, rotating the full 360 degrees along the axis of your left arm.
-
Step 5
Finish the twist as your feet come down to the floor. Bend your knees slightly upon landing to absorb the impact of the movement, and then stick to finish. You will land facing in the same direction from which you took off.
