How to Clean Stove Grease From a Teakettle

Cleaning cooking grease buildup from your teakettle can be a chore. However, you can get the job done, using soda water or regular dish detergent. So head for the sink and get that kettle gleaming once again.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Fill the sink with hot, soapy water. Submerge the teakettle and scrub it vigorously with a soft dish cloth. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.

  2. Step 2

    Clean the inside of your kettle with a mixture of 1 part vinegar or baking soda and 4 parts water.

  3. Step 3

    Soak the kettle and rinse thoroughly. You can also boil the vinegar and water mixture. Rinse thoroughly.

  4. Step 4

    Spray the exterior of the teakettle with window cleaner to remove grease and food deposits and leave a shiny finish. Do not allow any to get inside the kettle.
