How to Change the Color of Windows Media Player

Perhaps you want to change the current color of your Windows Media Player. You can either choose to use one of the many preset options available or customize the color to get precisely the look you want. You can change the color to reflect the weather, the season or an upcoming holiday.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Open up your Windows Media Player. Click the arrow under the "Now Playing" button to access the drop-down menu. Select "Enhancements," and then "Color Chooser."

  2. Step 2

    Go to the Enhancement box that opened at the bottom of the Media Player. If you wish to use the preset color options, press the "Next preset" button and continue until you see one you like.

  3. Step 3

    Create a customized color by moving the sliders on both the Hue and Saturation bars to the left or right. This option will change the color on your screen right away. Continue to adjust until you have your desired color.

  4. Step 4

    Click on the "Close" symbol in the right-hand corner of the Enhancement box to save your new color. Enjoy the new look of your Windows Media Player.

Tips & Warnings
  • To return to the default color setting, open up the Enhancement box again and select the "Reset" button.
  • The Hue bar changes the color of the Media Player and the Saturation bar changes the color brightness.
