4. Teach your dog to stay quiet. Barking is a sure sign that you are keeping a dog in your apartment.

5. Train your dog to use the bathroom on paper or in a litter box. This will make it easier for you to clean up after the dog.

6. Put your dog in a crate when you are asleep or away from home. This will minimize damage to your apartment.

7. Carry your dog out of the apartment in a carrier that looks like a regular bag. If possible, only take your dog out of your apartment at night or when nobody is around.

on 10/12/2008 This is a really bad idea. Super unfair to the dog. Unless it's a dire emergency where you're saving a dog from being put down or keeping it while it's owner takes care of an emergency situation, this is a timebomb waiting to explode.

So what happens if the dog is discovered, you don't have "enough money saved for a quick move" and now you're evicted, the dog is in a shelter.....bad bad idea.
