Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hair dryer with diffuser
  • Styling moose
  • Wide toothed comb
  1. Step 1

Wash your hair or spritz with water until the whole hair shaft is wet. Run your fingers through your hair or comb lightly with a wide-toothed comb to remove any tangles. Shake off excess water and wait until your hair becomes damp as opposed to wet.

  2. Step 2

Put a healthy amount of styling mousse (or another frizz control product) into the palm of your hand. Start underneath the hair at the root and work down to the tip until you've covered your hair with a thin coating. Use a little more mousse if you have very thick or long hair, but don't use large clumps, as this makes your hair dry and hard.

  3. Step 3

Dry your hair upside down with the diffuser by taking a small section at a time. Use a medium or low heat. The diffuser acts as a curling mechanism, which will encourage the natural wave of your hair, while the styling moose prevents it from frizzing up.

  4. Step 4

Keep your head upside down and use the palms of your hands to scrunch your curls lightly. Separate your fingers and ruffle up the roots of your hair to add volume if your hair tends to fall flat throughout the day. Stand upright and set your hair with styling spray to hold the style in place.

Tips & Warnings
  • Cut your hair with long layers to encourage volume and bounce in your waves.
  • Twist and clip your hair with bobby pins before drying for smaller tighter curls.
