How to Kill a High Level Monster on Runescape

Runescape is one of the fastest growing and exciting games on the Internet. Players create characters and set them off on adventures throughout the varied medieval world populated with mages, archers, warriors, goblins, demons, ghosts and monsters. A good way to get rare items for your inventory is to kill high-level monsters.

Instructions

Equip your character with armor. Go to the Grand Exchange and buy armor first unless you have gotten it from another player. The high level monster you are preparing to kill will have its own particular fighting tactics, which will determine which armor to take. The website "Rune Tips" is an excellent resource that lists each monster, their fighting level and tips on how to find and kill it. You'll know whether to pull out your Troll helm or go for the Veracs armor.

Bring a lot of food to heal yourself during battle. As long as you keep eating so that your health points (viewed on your stat's menu) don't drop to zero, you can keep attacking until the monster is dead. If you get close to zero, your only options are to die or run away to fight again. Buy food at the Grand Exchange.

Take plenty of prayer pots. As you move through the world of Runescape, any time you kill a low level monster, bury their bones to charge up your prayer pots. Low level monsters can be found within the dungeons which you'll see shattered throughout the land. Look for monsters on the small-scale map at the top right. They appear as yellow dots. Simply right-click on the monster and choose "Attack" from the drop-down menu.

Turn on your prayer protection just before you enter the monster's territory. Use the charged prayer pots as added protection when facing the high level monsters. "Rune Tips" offers great advice on which prayers work best against which monsters, like "Protect from Melee", "Protect from Range" and "protect from Magic" prayers.

Fight alone or enlist a group. It's easier to take down the high-level monsters with a group, but then you have to split the rewards. However, the risk to yourself and loss of your hard-earned items are reduced.
