Many cats won't let you pet or play with them, but you can win them over if you have patience. By loving your cat, seeing to her needs and giving her your attention, you gradually can gain your cat's trust.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

See that your cat knows you are the one that feeds her. Don't just put her food in a bowl when she's not around. Wait until she's in the eating area to fill her bowl.

  2. Step 2

Pet your cat often. She may be skittish at first, but the more you do it the more she will relax.

  3. Step 3

Talk to your cat. She might not understand the words, but you want her to get used to the sound of your voice so that it becomes a source of comfort.

  4. Step 4

Play with your cat. Teach her tricks, roll her ball around the room so she can chase it. The more time you spend together, the quicker you will gain her trust.
