    Instructions

      • 1

Accept the fact that you have committed a sin. This is the first step in letting it go. A sin is a deliberate violation of a religious or moral principle.

      • 2

Consider the fact that sin, as well as religion, is a social construction of reality. Just as religions vary, so does the definition of what is right or wrong. A sin to you might not be a sin in the eyes of someone else.

      • 3

Justify your sin by reminding yourself that the sin you committed is only a sin to some people. In other cultures or countries it may not be a sin. It may be a way of life.

      • 4

Think of all the good things you have done for other people in your life. It should counteract the sin you have committed and justify it. After all the good you have done you were due to commit a sin.

      • 5

Learn from the sin you have committed and don't do it again. A sin usually hurts someone else more than it does you. Apologize to any person that you hurt when you committed the sin.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Justifying a sin may result in you committing the same sin again. Accept the fact that you have committed a sin and move on from it. Try not to make the same mistake again.

"Justifying a sin" is right about 1 thing, everyone sins; no one is exempt from that fact. However, the steps they provide in "dealing" with your sins are a copout. These steps tell us that it is okay to sin and if you do sin just move on from it - I don't know about you but if I don't "truly" deal with my sins they become repeat offenses and tear down my attitude, joy and life little by little. Unconfused is DANGEROUS! The only one who can fully take the guilt, shame, embarrassment and hurt that sin causes away is Jesus Christ. If you don't know him and you are hurting from sin, take joy in know that you can be freed from that hurt because he wants to have a relationship with you. Don't justify sin ~ combat it: Father God, I know that I am a sinner, I believe that Jesus Christ is your son, that he was sent to die on a cross to pay for my sins, was buried and rose the third day, Lord, I
