Juggling can be a fun way to pass the time, entertain at a party or have fun with the kids. As much fun as it is, juggling is not as easy as it looks. Even with just two balls juggling requires a certain level of coordination and timing that will only come with practice and determination to become a top-notch juggler.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Grab two balls that are the same size and hold one in each hand.
Step2
Throw the first ball so it is directly above your opposite hand. Think of this area as point A.
Step3
Toss the second ball when the first ball has reached point A. Throw the second ball directly above your other hand and that area is point B.
Step4
Catch each ball as the other ball reaches its peak. So the sequence should be throw, throw, catch, catch, stop.
Step5
Continue throwing, catching and stopping with the balls. When you get comfortable with the movement and your balls are consistently reaching points A and B don't stop, repeat the movements. So now the sequence should be throw, throw, catch, catch, repeat.

Tips & Warnings

  • Practice. Juggling is not as easy as it looks. Spend a half hour each day going through each sequence until you are throwing and catching with ease.
  • Don't shuffle the balls from one hand to the other. When you first start you will have a tendency to shuffle the ball from hand to hand instead of throwing the ball. Remember juggling is throwing the ball up, not shuffling it across.
