How to Join Baltimore's Marching Ravens

One of the biggest NFL marching bands is Baltimore's Marching Ravens. If you have enough ability, this band offers you an opportunity to participate in pro football without having a 300-pound human wall of granite with bad intentions chasing you across a field.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Check your schedule. The band rehearses every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Owings Mills, Maryland. They perform at every home game, starting at 8:30 a.m., as well as local parades and festivals throughout they year. They also travel to some performances, such as the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade.

  2. Step 2

    Determine if you enough talent. You should be able to play a brass instrument, woodwind instrument or a percussion instrument. Marching experience is a plus, but not required. The Ravens will provide marching instruction.

  3. Step 3

    Prepare an audition piece. Auditions are held prior to or during the break for Wednesday evening practices. Any musical style is acceptable for your audition. They will test your marching ability to determine how much instruction you'll need if you're accepted.

  4. Step 4
