A happy boss means a happy work environment. Keeping a boss content is important for employees who want to stay employed, lower stress levels and enjoy their work. Employees who keep their bosses happy have more opportunities for advancement.

1. Be dependable. Bosses love employees that come in to work on time, perform as they say they will and consistently produce quality work. Do your work well and make minimal errors.

4. Limit personal phone calls and internet use. Especially avoid any instant messenger programs on your computer. Since your actions reflect on your boss, she'll look bad if her employees are constantly conducting personal business on the company's dime.

5. Ask questions when you don't understand something, or if you're just curious about something work related. Many bosses enjoy sharing their knowledge with others, and your questions indicate your interest in their work and the state of the company.
