When dating a new person, the goodnight kiss can be scary. You aren't quite able to read her signals yet, and that can be intimidating. The goodnight kiss will make or break your date. Follow these steps to learn how to kiss goodnight.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Walk your date to the front door. Use this time to assess the situation. If there are other people around, such as her parents, it may be best to wait until the next date.
Step2
Assess her behavior. If she lets you walk her all the way to the door and pauses, that is a good sign that you can give her a goodnight kiss. If the key is in the door and her back is to you, it is not the right time to make your move.
Step3
Take advantage of the awkward pause in the conversation. Talk about the highlights of the evening, and tell her you had a good time. When the pause occurs, move in for the goodnight kiss.
Step4
Place your hand gently on the back of her neck. Tilt your head slightly, and slowly lean in. Keep the kiss soft and gentle, as the first goodnight kiss shouldn't involve any tongue or abrasiveness.
Step5
Enjoy the moment. Take your time with the goodnight kiss. She may invite you in for more, but don't be pushy about it.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're uncomfortable making a move, then just ask if you can kiss her. She may be flattered.
  • Make sure that you have good breath. Use a breath spray or mint before you attempt to kiss her goodnight.
