Dwelling on troubles creates more stress, and stress creates health problems. Letting go of the stress by learning to forget troubles can have a measurable affect on your health. It can take time to learn to forget about the worst troubles, but it can be accomplished with practice.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Think about the positive things in your life. Keep focusing on the positive, and the troubles will not be as much on your mind.
Step2
Notice the little things. If you focus on the small things in your life that you normally overlook, the bigger things may not see as important. Notice the plants around you, the sun shining and the pictures that the clouds make. Notice sunbeams dancing on the windowsill or a butterfly flitting by.
Step3
Take comfort from friends. The best times are often those that we spend with friends. Time with friends can make you forget your troubles for awhile, if not long term. Having fun is also a good stress reliever.
Step4
Meditate with yoga to achieve inner peace. Finding peace will keep your troubles at bay. Doing yoga will teach you how to connect your mind and body so that your physical poses bring about personal serenity.
Step5
Let some things go. As complicated as life is, some things simply have to be let go because there is simply nothing you can do about it. Remember that you can't control everything, nor should you want to. Anything that is beyond your control is not something you can help by worrying.
Step6
Find a constructive hobby. Hobbies not only relieve stress, they can also keep you from dwelling on negative things. A hobby can create a sense of pride, replacing thoughts of any troubles.
