There are three commonly used temperature scales: Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin. The Fahrenheit and Celsius scales were developed according to the freezing and boiling temperatures of water. The Kelvin scale expands the Celsius scale to include absolute zero. Celsius and Fahrenheit are measured in "degrees," and kelvin is measured in "kelvins."
