Tips & Warnings
Use the following shortcut to change the background quickly: Hold down the "Control," "Option" and Apple symbol ("Command") keys with your left hand at the same time. With your right hand, hold down the number eight key in the row of numbers above letters. Repeat pushing down the keys to return screen to normal. The number eight key on the numbers keypad will not activate the command.
Some people with visual disabilities may find this background screen easier to view than the standard black text on white background.
Inverting screen colors may help save battery power on a laptop.
Don't keep screen in black-and-white mode for too long, as it may distort the colors in some applications. If this happens, re-start your computer.
