There is nothing like a new crush, when you are flush with emotions—excitement, wonder, nervousness. But among them all is the desire to know if your crush feels the same way. To find out, start by following these tips to catch the eye of a crush.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Dress for success when you are around your crush. A pair of baggy sweats and a ratty t-shirt is just not going to get it done. As sad as it is, a good physical appearance will go a long way to helping you catch the eye of your crush.

  2. Step 2

Force yourself to be in their company. Now that you look the part, you must figure out a way to be around them casually and naturally. Don't suddenly show up outside their door at 3 a.m. That will get you a restraining order. Get in their same classes or inject yourself into one of their projects at work. Notice something they like and then insert yourself into that world.

  3. Step 3

Break the ice with your crush. This is the part that everyone dreads. Most people feel that if the initial moment doesn't go as planned, then they are finished. However nothing could be further from the truth. Rather than putting a false sense of importance just on one moment, be yourself each time you are around them. If they aren't interested, then they are probably not for you.

  4. Step 4

Flirt your little heart away. Whether you like to be subtle or seductive, brash or acerbic, use your wit, charm and any other quality you would list among your 10 best to engage them to your personality. The truth is that most people in life are so engrossed in their day-to-day lives that they are waiting for someone to come along and shatter that monotony. So go shatter it.

  5. Step 5

Play hard to get with your crush. Everyone wants what they cannot have, so once you have flirted it is time to retreat a bit. If you stay brash, brazen and overt with the other person, they will lose interest. However if you recoil, and make them wonder why you are recoiling, now you are in business.

  6. Step 6

Avoid playing games after you have caught the eye of your crush. Once you have been on a date or two, the time for games is over. No one appreciates being a pawn in someone else's mental game of chess. Be real with the person and start to determine if they are truly a long-term match for you.
