It is easy to make a stylish crocheted bracelet, and the only tools you need are your own fingers. Add some brightly colored beads to give the bracelet some pizazz. Read on to lean to finger-crochet a bracelet, an inexpensive and fun project, and an easy way to make lovely gifts for friends and family.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 pkg. silver or gold metallic cord
  • Beads in three colors of your choice
Step1
Make a loop about four inches from the end of the cord. Put your thumb and index finger through the loop, grab the long part of the cord and bring it through the loop and pull it firmly to secure the stitch. Be sure to keep that stitch, and the stitches to follow, in place so that you can see the shape of the stitches.
Step2
Repeat the first step, finger crocheting four more stitches as you pull the long cord back a bit after each stitch.
Step3
Flatten the loop and push it through three beads in the color pattern of your choice. Once the loop is through all three beads, enlarge the loop enough that you can put your index finger and thumb through it.
Step4
Finger crochet five more stitches, add three more beads, and repeat until the bracelet reaches the desired length.
Step5
After the final five stitches, knot the end of the cord and cut off the excess.
Step6
Tie the bracelet on your wrist or attach a clasp, if you desire.
