Step 1
Get a haircut that fits your hair. Choose either a long flowing haircut or a short tight haircut. The longer cuts for curly hair allow the curl to pull up into a tighter spiral. A long cut for the wavy hair might pull out the wave. Experiment and ask your hairstylist what the best hair style is for your hair type.

Step 2
Wash your hair every other day. Choose a shampoo and conditioner that is light on the curls. See the eHow article on how to choose shampoo for curly hair.
-
Step 3
Choose a frizz-eliminating serum and use it each time you wash your hair or need to control the frizz. Apply the frizz-reducing product with your fingers. Put a half teaspoon of product on your fingers. Don't put it on the palm of your hand. Your palm isn't touching the curls. Start at the top and gently pull your fingers through your hair. Scrunch the hair at the end.

Step 4
Get your curls into shape. Form the curls into the look you want them. Separate a section, bring the curls together and move on to the next section. Make the section as big or small as you like. For a more natural look, use a pick.

Step 5
Use a diffuser on your blow dryer. Not all blow dryers are created equal. Choose a blow dryer with a diffuser made for curly hair. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for drying the hair. Blow dry as little as you can to reduce the frizz enemy.
