How to Dress Up Like Mikayla From Hannah Montana

Mikayla appeared on Disney's "Hannah Montana" as Hannah's sometimes-rude teen pop star rival. Despite Mikayla's rough edges, her sense and fashion made girls all around the country eager to dress like the fictional singer. The right ensemble can get you dressing like Hannah Montana's rival Mikayla.

1. Look back to pop fashion of the 1980s to get some inspiration and overall tips about how Mikayla dresses. Check out the 1980s band "The Bangles" and famed 80s singer Cindy Lauper to get some pointers on how to pair big loop earrings with tight, neon colored dresses and leggings.

2. Wear one very noticeable piece of fashion, like the red 1930s hat that Mikayla wears when she appears with Hannah Montana for a TV interview. Accessorize the hat with a feather and then use the color scheme you built to direct the rest of the outfit by layering the color of the hat on top of a foundation of a tight white long-sleeved shirt.

3. Sport a tight '80s-style dress with large circular holes near the abdomen and legs. Under the dress, wear a different color lycra top or sports bra and bright colored leggings so that the cut-out holes in the dress let other bright colors shine through.

4. Finish off the outfits with the right accessories, such as large loop earrings when you're going 1980s style and upper arm bands that you can make by cutting the ends off of thin socks.
