Super Mario is one of the most recognizable video game characters in the world. For the last 20 years, Super Mario has been an enduring symbol of gaming and electronic entertainment. Super Mario is complicated to draw, but the result is an instantly likable cartoon figure.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start with a circle shape for the head and a larger circle for the body. The middle is rounded but is slightly wider at the bottom than the top.

  2. Step 2

Draw the arms and legs. They will be slightly wider at the ends than they are closer to the abdomen.

  3. Step 3

Put a driving cap on top of the head. The hat extends from above the eyes to a point above the head that is about half the length of the head.

  4. Step 4

Add the facial features onto the face. Super Mario has a large, round nose and eyes that attach to the nose. The eyebrows are big and bushy and extend to the brim of the hat. Draw a thick mustache under the nose. The mustache extends across most of the face.

  5. Step 5

Place the clothing lines on top of the body shapes. Mario wears gloves, thick boots, a shirt and overalls. If you are coloring the picture, color the boots dark brown, the gloves white, the overalls dark blue and the shirt maroon. The hat should be red and white and the hair, eyebrows and mustache dark brown.

  6. Step 6

Bring in the smaller details, such as two buttons for the front of the overalls and any shading that you want to add.
