Step 1
Create a new image. In the toolbox window, select File, then New. This brings up a new image for editing. If editing a photo, go to File, then Open. Find and open the desired image to edit. For practicing, a blank, or new, file is the best option.
-
Step 2
Select a tool. Several of the GIMP's drawing tools work to draw a line. The paintbrush and the pencil are the two most common drawing tools used to draw lines.
-
Step 3
Note the brush size. If it's not the desired size, go into the Brush Dialog to change it. Draw with whatever size works best for the image.
-
Step 4
Click on the image. Left-click the mouse at the place where the line starts. Continue holding the left mouse button down and, using the mouse, draw over the image until the line is complete.
-
Step 5
Let go when done. Once the line is finished, release the left mouse button. This stops the drawing process. Once released, the mouse can be moved without creating any marks on the image.
-
Step 6
Repeat as many times as desired. Unlimited numbers of lines can be drawn, so keep going until there are a sufficient number for the editing purposes.

The GIMP is NOT Microsoft. What kind of site is this ????
The author is someone either extremely ignorant or evil, but in the second case, even for an evil person, it must be the stupidest amongst the evil ones.

Do you have the slightest idea about the difference between MsPaint and Gimp?
