3. Try drawing different shapes with different colors. A picture like this would have a modern art feel to it. While the shapes and colors are random, it will look like a cohesive piece of work because you will only use shape and color in your picture.
4. Make some of your drawings overlap. This will give the picture a random yet planned look even if you didn't plan anything ahead of time.
5. Have someone help you brainstorm weird ideas. Each idea should have two parts: a noun identifying what should be in the picture and an action or descriptive phrase describing what the character is like. A zombie getting stood up for a date or a dog that won an Oscar are some ideas. The crazier your partner, the more creative your picture will be.
