How to Draw Monsters
The most common way to draw a monster is to create a circle for each body part, including the arms, legs, body and head. From there, it's a matter of smoothing things out and adding the details.

1
Sketch a large circle to create the body of your monster.
-
2
Add a smaller circle on top of this to add a head to your monster.
-
-
3
Draw two half circles with the flat portion facing down below the body of your creature to form his feet. Leave some space for the legs.
-
4
Place small circular hands either to each side of the monster's body or inside of the body. By drawing them inside the circle, the hands will eventually be connected to the arms so they'll be held in front of the body.
-
5
Connect each of the monster's legs to his body with two lines. The further apart these lines are, the bigger the legs. Create knees by bringing the lines in slightly at the midpoint between the foot and body.
-
6
Repeat for the arms. If the circles are beside the body, make the lines relatively straight. For the hands in front of the body, draw "C" shapes, one inside of the other. Indent for elbows and wrists if you so choose.
-
7
Add the details. You can make your monster as scary or as cute as you'd like. Add big eyes and a wide smiley face or a huge mouth with sharp teeth.
