How to Draw GIR From Invader Zim
GIR is a cute and cuddly robot from the TV show "Invader Zim." GIR is assembled from random scrap metal, but he's pretty easy to draw. He can be drawn either as a robot or in his favorite earth disguise, a green-zippered dog suit.

Draw Robot GIR
-
1
Draw a large "U" for GIR's head. Cap the "U" with a line curved slightly upward to add depth to the head canister.
-
2
Draw a smaller-capped "U" just below, but not touching, the head. This is GIR's body. Connect the body and head with 2 short lines for the neck.
-
-
3
Draw 2 upside-down "V"s below, but again not touching, the body. Draw lines that are slightly curved downward below the "V"s to cap the legs and make them appear conical.
-
4
Draw 2 circles behind the top corners of the body for shoulders. Erase any overlapping lines.
-
5
Add two narrow "V"s tapering off of the shoulders for arms. Add smaller circles at the tips of the "V"s for wrists and 2 small triangles with 1 corner attached to the wrists as hands.
-
6
Touch GIR up with a rectangle on his chest, 2 large circular eyes and a line for a mouth. You can add stitches to the mouth and lines to segment the arms as well.
Draw GIR in a Dog Suit
-
7
Draw a large pentagon with a flat side oriented on the top for GIR's head. Add smaller a rectangle overlapping the bottom point of the pentagon and erase the overlapping lines. This is GIR's head and body.
-
8
Add 2 very large circles for eyes. One eye may overlap the edge of the head. Erase any overlapping lines. Add 2 tiny dots inside the eyes as pupils. Make them slightly too far apart to give GIR a goggle-eyed appearance.
-
9
Add 2 curved crescent shapes slightly overlapping the sides of the body for arms. Color these in black. Add 2 rounded triangles for legs below the body, about the same size as the arms, and color black.
-
10
Draw a small tail by coloring a thin triangle pointed up from the back of the body toward the bottom. Add another tiny horizontal triangle below the eyes for a nose. Draw the mouth on top of the seam by drawing a horizontal line. Add a rectangular tongue sticking out from one side.
-
11
Touch GIR up with a zipper on the body by drawing a thin vertical rectangle and adding a line inside the rectangle back and forth to make it look like an interlocking zipper. Draw a dashed line down the face between the eyes to create a seam.
