Learning to draw a bucket is a matter of putting a few different shapes together to make a new one. Make a square, angle the sides, then add an oval at the top to represent the opening. Add detail and perspective and you've learned to draw a realistic bucket.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Draw a simple square very lightly in pencil.

  2. Step 2

Angle the vertical sides of the square slightly so the top of your shape is wider than the bottom. Make sure each wall is drawn at the same angle so that your bucket is symmetrical.

  3. Step 3

Erase the original side lines and the top line of your square.

  4. Step 4

Replace the top line of the shape with a narrow oval. This oval is the opening of your bucket.

  5. Step 5

Create a lip to your bucket by adding a thin line just under the bottom line of your oval that ends at the side walls.

  6. Step 6

Put a small dot in the center of your bucket and draw an arc that extends past the top bucket and turns back in to meet it again. End this line at the point it meets the bucket to give the appearance of a handle that disappears around the curve.
