Pokemon means Pocket Monsters and was invented in 1995 by Satoshi Tajiri. The Pokemon video games are owned by Nintendo and plays on Nintendo 64, Game Boy and Nintendo DS systems. The MissingNo is a glitch in the Pokemon game. Here's how to find and catch one.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pokemon Red or Blue video game
  • Pokemon that knows Fly
  • Pokemon that knows Surf
  • Pokemon with a level of 50-100
  • Ultraballs or Masterballs
Step1
Go to Viridian City. In Viridian City, there is a man standing west of the gym. In the beginning of the game he was blocking the path to Viridian Forest. Talk to him and let him catch a Weedle.
Step2
Fly to Cinnabar Island. Be sure to have your Pokemon that knows fly in your party. Choose that Pokemon to take you to Cinnabar Island.
Step3
Surf the east coast of Cinnabar Island. Have a Pokemon in your party that knows surf and keep going up and down the coast until you meet a MissingNo. The MissingNo is a normal bird type. It's level can be over 100 and can look like a Kabuto skeleton or a Aerodactyl skeleton. It can also look like the ghost of a unmasked Marowak found in the Pokemon Tower. The MissingNo's defense is low, making it easy to catch.

Tips & Warnings

  • According to Nintendo's customer service section, the MissingNo is not part of the game, but it is a programming glitch. If you catch a MissingNo, it can cause the graphics to mess up. It can be fixed by letting the MissingNo go. If that doesn't work, start a new game, turn the Game Boy off without saving the new game, then resume your old game.
