Whether participating in a pie-eating contest at a festival or just trying to impress your friends, eating huge pies can be a useful skill. It can be difficult, but it does become easier if you take some time to prepare your stomach for such an event. These rules can apply to eating any kind of pie--fruit pies, meat pies, even pizza pies.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Ignore the old adage to "never eat anything bigger than your head." See it as a challenge.
Step2
Stretch your stomach by drinking large quantities of water. Start a few days before you plan to eat a pie bigger than your head and complete this training regimen daily before the event.
Step3
Wear loose-fitting pants with an adjustable or elastic waist.
Step4
Start eating the pie on an empty stomach. Right after Thanksgiving dinner is not an appropriate time to try to eat such a big pie.
Step5
Eat slowly and deliberately if you are not in a contest. If you are in a contest, just gulp it down as quickly as you can.
Step6
Rest when you are finished. Your body needs to conserve energy to digest all that pie.

Tips & Warnings

  • Eating pies bigger than a person's head is easiest if you frequently eat large quantities of food.
  • Get a friend or a group of friends to help you if you just can't do it alone.
  • Don't try to wash your pie down with water, milk or any other drink. The liquid just takes up valuable space in your stomach.
