Halo 2 takes a great deal of skill to play successfully. When you begin playing, most other players will have a lot more skill than you. Therefore, you need to try to make up for your lack of skill with good strategy. By confusing your enemy with good strategy you can win games over superior players.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Climb up to high places. High places provide an excellent vantage point for snipping, and they make you less visible and safer from other snipers. Use this strategy with or without a sniper rifle.

  2. Step 2

Hide in hard-to-access places. Look for places which are hard to get into, such as the palm tree in Ivory Tower. Hide in these places and wait for enemies to come by and then jump on them.

  3. Step 3

Be patient and non-aggressive. If you are an unskilled Halo 2 player, it's best not to bring on confrontation. You're opponent will be looking for you, so spend as much time as possible hiding and only come out when you can surprise your enemy.

  4. Step 4

Look for your enemy at all times. Know where your enemy is because they can hear you discussing strategy when they are near. Keep quite and keep them guessing.

  5. Step 5

Use confusing language. When your enemy is close, pretend to discuss strategy, but use a foreign or made-up language. Alternatively, use English but discuss bogus strategy.

  6. Step 6

Team up with another Halo 2 player to confuse an enemy. Have the other player distract the enemy, and when his attention is fully on the other player, sneak up on him and attack.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always carry grenades when going into an enclosed space, because enemies will have trouble getting away from them. However, when you're in an open area concentrate on other weapons, because grenades will not be useful.
