How to Condition Hair with Beer and Chamomile
Commercial products, designed to make your hair shiny and manageable, work well, but other products not normally associated with hair are also beneficial in strengthening the hair shaft and imparting shine. The outer layer of your hair, known as the cuticle, reflects light when flat. A combination of beer and chamomile will condition your hair, leaving it shiny. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Start with towel-dried, freshly shampooed hair. Use a conditioning shampoo to clean the hair gently without stripping all of the natural oils. Harsh shampoos can leave hair dry and brittle.
-
2
Boil a cup of water and add 3 chamomile tea bags. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature before removing the bags.
-
-
3
Pour the beer over your clean hair slowly, taking the time to work it through from the roots to the ends with your fingers. Hold your head over the basin for a few minutes allowing the beer time to condition the hair shaft.
-
4
Rinse your hair with clear, lukewarm water and gently wring the excess from your hair.
-
5
Stream the chamomile tea over your head, just as you did the beer, letting it soak in for 2 to 3 minutes. Chamomile will bring out natural highlights in blonde hair as an added benefit.

6
Use tepid water for the final rinse to seal the hair shaft. Towel-dry your hair and style as desired.

Tips & Warnings
When you have time, bypass the blow dryer and apply a leave-on pomade to your hair, allowing it to dry naturally. Your hair will be shiny and manageable.
Purchase inexpensive beer for a hair-conditioning rinse. It's the acid in the beer that conditions the hair shaft, not the taste.
