How to Check All Play Boxes in iTunes

Many online music listeners rely on iTunes to manage and play their music files. After organizing your library, you may want to set all of your songs to play. To do this, all of the songs that you want played over iTunes must have the box next to them checked off.

Instructions

    • 1

Look over your song library. Notice if any of the boxes are not checked off. If they're empty, then this song will not play unless you select it.

    • 2

Click the box next to the song to manually select it to play as iTunes makes it way through all of the songs in your library.

    • 3

Go to the "Edit" menu at the top of the page. Choose the "Select All" option from this menu. You'll notice that all of the songs are now highlighted. This method is quicker than manually selecting individual songs.

    • 4

Click right button on your mouse. From the menu that pops up, choose the "Check Selection" key.

    • 5

Perform the same function by holding down the "Control" key on your PC. You then click one of the song boxes to select all songs at once.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are using a Mac to play iTunes, hold down the Command key to select all the songs.

  • Make sure you are using the most updated version of iTunes when attempting to check off all of the boxes at once. This function may not work with an outdated version of the program.
