How to Change a Macbook Into a Smackbook
Anyone with a computer knows the frustration of frozen screens, slow programs and other glitches. However, you can now make smacking your MacBook a bit more productive then a means of venting frustration. If you have a MacBook with built-in motion sensor, you can change your computer into a SmackBook and open multiple screens with a gentle tap to the side of your screen.

Look either on your MacBook desktop or in your Finder for "Smackbook" and "AMSTracker" files. Click and drag the files onto your desktop if not already there, and then place the AMSTracker file into the Smackbook file by clicking and dragging.

Open your Desktop Manager and find the application folder. Inside the application folder you will find an application called terminal. Double-click the terminal file to start the application. Once started, type "cd" into the terminal box and click and drag your Smackbook folder into your terminal folder and hit "return."

Look for a file name which includes the words "desktop, smackbook and your name," which should come up automatically. Change the file "perl smack.pl" and once again, hit "return." If you followed the steps correctly, you should see a terminal massage notifying you that AMS hardware is present and your change has been initialized. If you don't see this message, exit terminal and start from the beginning.

Begin tapping your Mac's screen on the lower right side. Smack lightly at first, tapping a bit harder each time until you desktop changes its screen. This will help you get accustomed to the amount of pressure you need to apply to activate your SmackBook.

Tips & Warnings
Not all Macs can be changed into a SmackBook. Most MacBooks come equipped with a built-in motion detector that allows for this change. If your computer does not have the "AMSTracker" and "Smackbook" files, you do not have the capability.
