1
Make certain the computer meets all of the games system requirements. Read the computer game's packaging to determine if your computer has enough power and adequate graphic card capabilities.
-
2
Dedicate a location on the hard drive for the computer game to reside. The C drive holds most computer applications and a typical installation places the computer game here automatically.
-
-
3
Close all other programs that are running on the computer before installing the computer game. End the program by clicking on the "File" menu and then "Close" option.
-
4
Insert the computer game's CD into the CDROM drive of the computer. The computer recognizes the CD and automatically begins the installation process to the hard drive if the computer's auto play feature is enabled.
-
5
Walk through the installation process by answering the questions the software provides. This places the game in a convenient location and adds desktop icons and shortcuts to the game application.
-
6
Reboot the computer's hard drive for all changes to take effect. Once the computer is operating, check to make certain the computer game functions properly. Double click any game icon on the desktop to start the game.
