How to Cope With World of Warcraft Maintenance Day

World of Warcraft, or WoW, applies hotfixes and updates its servers on a weekly and monthly basis. Despite the inconvenience to its player base, these updates ensure server stability and expanded content, such as holiday festivals. Therefore, it's best to make peace with the interruption and use the downtime to do other things, game-related or not.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Structure your daily activities around the WoW maintenance time. During this time you can eat, sleep or do other activities that will give you more time to play WoW later.
Step2
While away the downtime by researching profession recipes, gear enchants, or quest rewards. When WoW comes back up you'll know exactly what you need.
Step3
Read the WoW forums. Here you can find everything from patch notes to guild recruiting messages. You can even protest upcoming class changes or explore information about expansions.
Step4
Consider a new talent build. You can use the World of Warcraft's website to recalculate your talent points at any level.
Step5
Play on a private WoW server. These servers are not run by Blizzard and will not have the same maintenance times.
Step6
Update your mods and add-ons during the maintenance period. These programs often provide patches needed to keep them running smoothly.
Step7
Play a different fantasy-based game. Many games can give you a feeling similar to playing WoW.
