How to Date a Player

When dating a player, you need to know what you're getting yourself into. Having absolutely no expectations of your player other than to be used and left for the next best thing later is the best course of action. Unless, of course, you want to beat him at his own game.

Instructions

    • 1

Decide whether you're willing to have absolutely no commitment from the person you're dating and can stand to know he's probably dating other people at the same time. If you're OK with that, you're ready to date a player.

    • 2

Evaluate your reasoning for wanting to date a player. If you readily admit you're a player too, your best angle is to beat her at the game, or at least acknowledge you're both playing it. If you're pretty sure she's a player but think you can change her, you're better off giving up and finding someone who's ready to make a commitment to an exclusive relationship.

    • 3

Play the game well. Rarely return phone calls. Keep making him chase you, but appear to be attainable every once in a while so that he doesn't lose interest. Players are fickle and want to know that eventually they'll get in your pants. Make it seem that you'll give in someday, even if you don't really intend to. Once you do, the game is over.

Tips & Warnings

  • Appear unimpressed by general compliments and niceties. A player gives these out like candy. Make her work to make you smile, laugh or even get your attention.

  • Don't give in and start reciprocating the player's interest. Players come on strong and lose interest once they catch their prey.
