Step 1
Choose a clever clan name to attract new members. Visit the Clan Recruitment room for ideas. Keep in mind that there is a limit of 64 characters for a clan's full name and 2 to 4 characters for its abbreviation.
-
Step 2
Select "Create Clan" in Battle.net chat and enter the full name and acronym for the new clan. You must receive approval before inviting clan members.
-
Step 3
Use the Clan Invitation feature, within 30 seconds of clan name approval, to invite your first clan members. After selecting a minimum of nine people from your list of mutual friends provided by Battle.net, click "Invite."
-
Step 4
Wait for potential members to respond. At least nine invitees must accept within 30 seconds for Battle.net to approve clan formation.
-
Step 5
After you create a clan, Battle.net automatically moves the Chieftain and all Peons to a private chat channel. This is where the fun begins.
-
Step 6
Delegate responsibility through appointing officers. A Chieftain may appoint a maximum of 5 Shaman to set clan channel settings, manage members and make changes to group profiles and messages.
-
Step 7
Create a clan website to keep members active and interested. You don't need advanced development skills, as it's easy to find free templates online. Use the site to organize and advertise tournaments, profile members and post messages.
