Step 1
Set the parental controls on your Internet browser. If you have parental control features on your web browser, you can list MySpace as a blocked site.

Block MySpace by using a website blocker software or hardware program. For example, the iBoss is both a router and Internet content filter. Since it is a wireless router, you can block all computers on your home network. If you would rather use a software program to block MySpace, try a free trial version of Terminator X.

Step 3
Add the MySpace IP addresses to your computer's filtering program. You can retrieve these addresses from the MySpace site.

Step 4
Contact MySpace if you are unsuccessful at blocking your child from the site. If the child has a profile listed and they are underage, MySpace will remove it from their site.

on 4/29/2008 Kids can bypass IP and parental control blocking via free proxy sites. Software methods are far more better. For example "Website Block" software from Ashkon that blocks sites per domain name / keyword occurance in URL
