Powerpoint is usually used for business or education presentations. But, this doesn't mean it can't be used for more creative pursuits. You can use PowerPoint to make a fun free game to play with friends or even to liven up a boring business presentation.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Create a blank PowerPoint presentation. Be sure to start with the title slide. Come up with a clever name for your game and enter it in the title box. In the subtitle box, create a hyperlink to the next slide which says "Click here to begin."

  2. Step 2

Make a second slide. On the second slide, enter a multiple choice question or proposition and four possible choices.

  3. Step 3

Link the responses to new slides. Link the three incorrect responses to a slide which informs the player he choose an incorrect answer and the game is over. You can also link this slide to another slide which begins a new PowerPoint game.

  4. Step 4

Add hyperlinks to the correct responses to the next question. On the next slide, inform the player she answered correctly and gets to answer another question.

  5. Step 5

Determine how many questions a player must correctly answer to win the game. If the player has to answer five questions correctly, link the correct answer from the fifth question to a Congratulations page.

  6. Step 6

Improve the PowerPoint game. Add pictures and sound to make the game more fun.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can create a hyperlink by selecting the text you want to link and hitting "Ctrl K" on the keyboard.
  • Instead of a trivia game, you can also use PowerPoint to create a "Make your own story" game. Give the player a scenario and have the PowerPoint slides ask how the player wants to handle certain situations. Link the possible responses to a new set of options in the story arc.
