Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Figure out how important you semi Emo look is to you and why you've chosen that style. If you are a teen with strict and rigidly religious parents, this might just be a way to rebel. If it is creating conflict with your parents, friends, and members of your religious community and you're enjoying it, then keep it up. If it's not worth causing a stir, find alternatives that don't rock the boat.
Step2
Find yourself. Knowing who you are and what you're about is the best way to overcome others' objections to your style and hobbies. If you stand tall and are proud of your semi Emo look, it really doesn't matter what anybody thinks. If you happen to like the Emo look and the music and also feel passionate about your religion, then both elements are just part of who you are.
Step3
Stay involved with your religious group and any activities in which you currently participate. If you withdraw from your religious community, they might assume that it's because of the way you dress and decide that your character has shifted, not just your wardrobe.
Step4
Explore other religions and other religious communities if you find that your semi Emo look is not seen as acceptable in your current religious group. If your religion is so rigid that dark hair and a side part is grounds for banishment, then maybe it's time to find a place where you can be yourself and connect to your spiritual side as you are and not as others believe that you should be.
